Framing canvas prints, Dublin or Donegal

I have been quoted €340 to frame without glass a 36" x 29" canvas painting, which is more than the painting cost.
Is this over the top? Can anyone direct me to a good framer that is reasonable in price in Dublin or East Donegal.

If its canvas you would be better off getting the canvas stretched across a canvas strecther. I got one done today for €40 in a framing shop.

Might be worth looking on boards.ie I have seen similar request to this in Art/Photorphy section. Guy(Steve?) is in Dublin and does canvas prints and possibly mounting prints.

HJT, was your framing shop in Dublin? If so, mind if I ask where? I'm a complete art novice who's just acquired a canvas that needs stretching/framing and have no idea where to go or how much to pay
