planning a 3 week trip to florida. planning to get an effeciency in the fort lauderdale area. has anyone every stayed in one in this area. also what part of fort lauderdale so i look at. I've never been so don't know where i should be staying. if anyone has a wealth of info feel free to pm me

Its like a studio apt in a motel/hotel builing. It has a little kitchenette but is a bit larger than just your average hotel room with a fridge. Eg The extended stay deluxe in Orlando is a good example of a good one. Generally there is a pool, as well as laundry facilities and snack machines.Its great for longer stays so you can bring back a pizza or takeaway and watch telly on the nights when you just want to stay in without feeling like you're too cramped. I have stayed in the extended stay deluxe but just wondering if there are any good alternatives in Ft Lauderdale...

Hi, I stayed in the Hyatt hotel. Highly recommend it. They have a revolving bar on the top floor. lovely place. great staff.
