Forms when taking car off the road....

Am considering not renewing insurance on my car and will just leave it in the driveway. What forms do I have to fill in for tax, insurance NCT etc? Thanks

nothing. but technically speaking if its sitting on the driveway it still needs tax and insurance. if you dont want them just let them all lapse.

If the driveway is private property no road tax is required.

However, if it's on private property uninsured and goes on fire, you will be at a total loss of the car plus the fire-brigade costs - house insurance won't cover it.

Similarly if someone is unfortunate enough to fall against the car and injure themselves, you may have no insurance cover for their claim.
