I am compiling my tax return on Form 12. I hold Government Savings Bonds (which are tax free - DIRT I guess). I am wondering do I need to declare the interest earned on these bonds somewhere on the Form 12.

Also on the same form 12 - I am a member of the company provided Defined Contribution Pension Plan where I pay a percentage of my salary and my employer pays a percentage. Does this need to be included as a benefit on 2006 Form 12. If yes what section ie Is this considered a PRSA ?

Government savings certs/bonds and national instalment savings are tax free. i.e. exempt from tax. Tehy do not go on a tax return.

Where the tax relief on pension payments is given at source through the payroll system by the employer then no further relief or claim or declaration is required.
