Hi,
Not a question, just some info. I rang 4 different financial institutions today to see who would have the best exchange rate for €500 to SA Rand. And with www.xe.com rate as the base rate here's how they faired. So basically, it is €500 changed into Rand at the banks rate and then transfered back to Euro at the www.xe.com rate for comparative purposes.
AIB €489
Credit Union €489
NIB €487
Bank of Ireland €479 - Guess where I defo won't be going.
So just a quick beware to shop around especially if you normally just go to BOI. It also shows that all of the above are screwing us to a certain degree.
Browser.
I have no link with any of the above.
