Foreign Earnings Deduction

could anyone advise as to whether there is tax relief for working abroad. i am presently mulling over a transfer to south africa with my present employer(an irish company), and am a bit confused over whether or not Foreign Earnings Deduction is still in existence.
any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately for you this scheme has been abolished. The last year of its operation was 2003.
