Good morning all,
I've heard different view on this from banks and from mortgage "experts" and still can't get my head around.
When can banks ask you for a credit check from your home country? Some say that if they see that you have transferred money to a foreign account for the last 6 months before asking for a mortgage, they will require you to get a credit check. Others say that if you haven't, they won't require it and some others say that regardless and since you're a foreigner they'll ask you for a credit check anyway.
Is there a clear rule?
Thanks
