Ford Service charge

Anyone know what is the usual cost of a service for a 1.4 Focus ( 1year old) . I assume it will only need change of oil (6000 short runs mileage)

Yes ,I had a price of €175 and thought it high but then again I have lost touch with what they charge per hour.

On the assumption that the electronics are hooked up to a machine and changing oil does not take long, how can they charge €175.?
 
My 07 Focus cost under €150. Fluids, filters, plugs etc. all add up.

Ford servicing is not expensive at all comparatively.

RS2K, where was that ? (in a Ford main dealer)

Recently got a 50k KM service (1.4L Petrol 2005 New shape): break down as following (I thought it was pricey)

(all ex VAT @13.5 %)

Oil Filter €6.02
Oil 5w/30 4L €32.00
Air Filter €14.32
Wiper Fluid €1.50
Spark Plugs (4) €14.60
Environmental Charge €5.75
Configure Radio (2 minute side job) €8.50
Labour €127.50

Only reason I went to the main dealer was for the radio to be done (specialist job) - would normally use an independant..and will again!!

Think it was classed as major service hence new air filter and plugs which I don't think get changed at every Ford service (interval service they call it). Mentions it in the service book.

Total (Incl VAT @ 13.5%) €238
 
Do remember that main dealers have a higher cost base than a back street guy. Therefore higher prices do not mean that you are being "ripped off". I drive an Audi, I would be delighted to get it serviced for under €200. There are some dealers who charge over €350. Ford are cheap cars to service and repair.
 
I have 2 07 Focus vans and I service them every 16000km and have never paid more than 180e
I also have a RR Sport which has always been between 800e-1000e for a service
