Ford Puma - new lamp

Hi,

Other half's car failed the NCT due to lights not being aligned. Tried to get it fixed but apparently the lamp is broke. Guy said it needs a new one and that costs €400+VAT+Fitting. Doesn't sound very appetising, car not worth a huge amount of money anyway.
Anyone know where we might pick up a lamp (scrapyard maybe) or anyone any experience of being able to mend a faultly lamp?

Exactly...?
My father was told the same on a Mondeo as the garage could not align it. Car had passed the NCT before and nothing had changed since, brought the car to another place, changed the bulb €7 and no problems realigning it after that.
