Ford Focus V Ford Fiesta

I am in dire need of car change.Initially I thought of going for a new 1.4 Fiesta.However I have got the offer of a Ford Focus 2004 which has only 10000 miles on clock [genuine] from a relation of the family for 14500 euro.Just wondering which option I should go for.I generally hold on to cars until they are near deaths door so I would not be re changing again in the short term

Which model Focus is it? If it's the 1.6 Zetec go for it. If it's a 1.4 then steer clear.

Any reasons for the above??

1.4 is a bit slow. Apart from that it's good.

80bhp in a heavy body just means it's not very rapid. Zetec spec. is much better than LX btw.
