Ford Focus Titanium Bluetooth Connection

I need a dummies guide type of help. How do I bond my Sony K850i to my car stereo? 07 plate
 
You pair them.

1/. Turn on car radio.
2/. With your mobile go to settings/bluetooth (on)/search for devices.
3/. The phone should detect Ford audio.
4/. Follow instructions from there.
 
As above plus - the passcode should be in the manual.
It's either 0000 or 1111
Was different on two different ford stereos I had

Make sure to set your phone's bluetooth to visible also so it will connect automatically each time you get in the car
 
Thanks for your replies but it still doesnt detect anything, what else can I try other than going to Fords?
