Ford focus serviced by local mechanic?

I have a 2005 Ford focus. I have a local mechanic that is great but does not have a pc to diagnose problems in the engine (which i don't seem to have!!). Does anybody know if i bring the Ford to a main dealer for the service whether they will actually hook up a pc to the engine as part of the service. I checked the items that ford recommends to do as part of the service in their manual and there is no whiff of needing a pc.

Yes, they'll plug in the diagnostic pc and check for any faults.

I got my 07 Focus main dealer seviced recently for under €150.
