Hi,
Don't know if anyone can help - I have an ancient 1997 Ford Fiesta 1.2L.
The last week or so when I start the car, in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear it gets to about 2500 revs and then there is no power until I change up a gear. Then when i hit 3rd gear the same thing happens when I hit 3000 revs, there is no power for about 10-15 secs and then all of a sudden she will take off. This only happend when I start the car and it drives fine after that, i have also noticed yesterday a small screeching noise when i press on the accelerator. If I keep it pressed very gently there is no noise but any extra pressure and it screeches.
Anyone have any idea what the problem could be and if so how much its going to cost to fix it. I obviously don't want to repair it if its going to cost a fortune as the car is not worth that much.
