footbridge at red cow

where is the foot bridge at the red cow gone?

it vanished one day last week or the week before.. no idea if its being replaced.

I emailed SDCC about this one. The reply was that it had to be moved to facilitate the M50 improvement works and that the council is trying to reach agreement with the contractor for an alternative location.

I see they're putting up a new set of pedestian lights further up the road on the outbound side but for some reason a lot of cars seem to crash the red on the existing ones anyway so I can't see it making the crossing any safer.

SDCC also said they were asking Gardai to monitor this but I've yet to see a Garda there.
