Just wondering has anyone had any dealings good or bad with the above people regarding property maintenance/management in France, The complex where we have property are looking at changing the property management Company to the above for various reasons but am trying to find someone who has dealt with Foncia in the past and can let me know how it went...thanks
yes they have been fine once they hired an english speaking person. up to that things were difficult, but now all ok, and are helpful. Have dealth with the one in Nice
Did you find their charges ok ie they didnt hike them up after a year or so and was any work they were to undertake completed to schedule and accounts etc were kept in order?
I have to say I dont find them bad at all myself but a lot of discussion ongoing and want to find out what alternative being offered is like and get as much info in advance I reckon there is definitely a hidden agenda to what is going on but dont know what that agenda may be any suggestions???????
Hi Colby - well from my experience the French people just love complaining so I do not think that there is a hidden agenda I just think that some of the residents have unreasonably high expectations (maybe especially the French residents).
Disagree with you on that one!!!! Well in this case anyway! All the French owners I know are fine with Odalys and SGIT, there are two posibly 3 French owners very vocal but the rest seem to be English and expectations well out of order, it is after all a holiday site and people renting unfortunately are there to enjoy themselves not to care! weeds and badly parked cars will always be a fact of life I recon no matter who in charge and they dont bother me to be honest! I do think certain people have a vested interest possibly in Foncia or possibly in just not having Odalys but could be proved wrong!
Foncia are one of the biggest property management companies in France. They have a good reputation but they charge higher than most other companies. I have never met anyone in Foncia (property management, rentals or sales) who spoke English. They get the business because they're the biggest, not the best.
