As the title suggests, am flying with Ryanair in a few days time but it's been so long since I took a flight with them, I'm a bit boggled by the online check-in and baggage allowance.

Should I just print the whole email or will my boarding pass pop up once I have completed the online check in?

And would a Jansport backpack be permitted as cabin luggage?

Any help very greatly appreciated :)

The boarding pass will be created once you complete the on line check and you can print it then.
A backpack is fine once it complies with the measurements permitted to be carried on board and under the 10kg weight allowance.

Do measure the backpack and don't try carrying anything in your hands (such as a book or a small ladies handbag, or a plastic bag with a magazine you bought in the Eason's shop after security, or an apple or basically anything!). They can be quite emphatic about the 1 bag rule and are strict with regards to size. Weight can sometimes be got away with but I prefer not to chance it!
