Fly Drive Holiday - East Coast USA

Hi,

Looking into what to do for our holiday this year and we would like to visit the East Coast of the States starting in Boston and finishing in New York. Looking at different holiday sites there are plenty of fly and drive options out there but none that I can see whick take in these two cities.

As a result I was wondering if anyone had done a holiday taking in both these cities (either by car/ train/ flight) - any advice is appreciated.

Merrion - all you need to do is book your flight to Boston, return from New York and arrange car hire with a pickup in Boston and drop-off in New York. It should be straight forward enough to arrange this. You don't need to book from a brochure or a holiday company website.

Merrion, we were thinking along the same lines as you and the www.cosmostourama.com brochure have a holiday on page 158 which takes in both New York and Boston over 15 days by coach where you can fly from Belfast with continental airlines.

We did this 3 years ago as our honeymoon - we started off in NYC for 4 days, , got the Amtrak train to Boston and then hopped on a bus to Hyannis for a week (where we rented a car for the week). Bus back to Boston for 3 nights & then flew home from Logan. All very achievable and easy to arrange!
