Flowers for a man?

I would like to make a gesture for my husband, akin to him buying me flowers but not by buying him flowers! I have bought him flowers in the past (don't laugh) but he doesn't really appreciate them and assumes I have bought them for myself or the house. I would just like to show my appreciation in a small way. Any ideas? He doesn't really need anything at the moment in the book or CD line etc and I wanted to make more of a gesture than buy him a present as such......does anyone know what I mean???!!!

mens gadget, u can find them in Next,Boots or even Easons

Make him his favourite meal/ dessert? A very nice bottle of wine/ whatever he drinks? Theatre/concert? Or if you have children, a lie in or time off from the hullabaloo.

Mr Ney is usually pretty busy and never gets time to sit down and read - so I sometimes stop off buy him a magazine (sports/playstation etc), come home run him a bath, give him the magazine with a cup of coffee and let him relax - just a small gesture!

Right so, your not my wife then!
He should be greatful for what he has.

If you want to get him something in the plant line, I think a Bonsai Tree is a little more masculine than a bunch of flowers. Also - I am with Vanilla on this - many men enjoy time out on their own, or with 'the lads' : if he is one such man, get him away on his own\with the lads somewhere, if only for an afternoon.
Does he go to the pub? Being pampered when you have a slight head the morning after is lovely.

Thanks guys for all your suggestions. He's a bit of a foodie and think he might appreciate me arranging a nice meal....

I have two very important questions:
  1. Can I ever tempt you away from Mr Ney?
  2. If 1 above is a non runner would you be interested in moving to Utah and having me as a second husband
  3. If both above are out of the question do you give courses to other wives?

LOL. Which of the above three questions are the important ones?

Number 2 could be a runner - is it not the case however that the man can have multiple wives but the wife can only have the one husband?

If you could do something about number 3 I'm sure many husbands would give this a "present". The demand and funding is certainly there!!

What about a pampering hot towel shave at the local barbers or there are some specialists shops but depends where you live.

The meal thing should do it, but failing that here are some other possibilities: tickets to a football match/ a show/ golf vouchers for an exclusive club...

Could always buy yourself some nice lingerie - every one's a winner this way!
