Florida at Halloween

Thinking of going to Florida for a week around Halloween - is that hurricane season there.....????????

been there twice during that time and no problems. Sept is more of a risk.

Make sure you go to Halloween horror nights in Universal if you do !!

Would appreciate any tips re Florida......hoping to fly into Sanford & spend a few days in Orlando - then head north east towards Daytona Beach and Jacksonville.

TBH I wouldn't bother with Daytona, The speedway is there but unless you are really into racing its not much of an attraction. You can hire out a car there and drive it around the speedway for about $200-300 and you can drive along the beach but other than that there isn't much there. We actually did it as a day trip out of Orlando and it was ok, but I wouldn't stay there, However, St petes Beach and Clearwater is much better. The beaches are nicer and water is much warmer, its like a warm bath! Nicer things to do and great restaurants etc. Sarasota is meant to be fabulous but I haven't been there. Pm if you need any other Florida tips.. I've been loads of times.
