wooden floor in bathroom needs to be taken out and replace before tiling because of rot, would it do just to put down pylwood before tiling and what thickness should I use thinking 6mm thanks

You'll need Marine ply - which has water proof properties. Don't know about the thickness

3/4" wbp ply will do the trick, marine would be overkill and a lot more expensive.

You'll need a second layer of thin ply on top of your new ply with the joins running at right angles to the existing ply before the tiles go down. This is to stop movement between the sheets causing the tiles to crack.

I've recenly moved into a second hand house that has a wooden floor in the bathroom. House is 16 years old, everyhitng seems to be in good nick. Is there any treatment I could give the wooden floor instead of tiling it, or is tiling the only job for a bathroom floor?
