Flooding in Pakistan

Just reading on various websites about the "inadequate" responce to the flooding in Pakistan form the UN, Charities, Government Agencies etc..

While I am all for helping people and believe it is the correct thing to do I do feel strange donating money to a country that is a nuclear power.

Am I wrong to feel this way or do others have concerns? Surely the first thing the governemt of Pakistan should do is divert money away from its nuclear arms program to help the victims of the flooding..

The opposition party in Pakistan are saying they do not need help from outsiders.

At least their government recognise that they need help.

It's crazy for any poor country to be spending a large percent of their budget on their army or on weapons when basic services are lacking in the country.
