Flights from Dublin to Iowa/Travelling to Mason City

Hi,

I will be travelling to Iowa in the next few months, we will be going to Mason City.

What's the best direct way to get there?

From a sky scanner search I found Dublin to Chicago- Chicago to Minneapolis then a 2 hour drive from Minneapolis to Mason City.

Was ideally looking for a direct flight from Dublin to somewhere within a couple of hours drive to Mason City???

There's direct flights from Chicago to Mason city, takes about 2.5 hours. Going to Minneapolis is kinda pointless.
Would only by a 6 hour drive or so from Chicago, which for USA is close enough for a weekend holiday

Aerlingus gets you to Chicago easily enough I guess.
