For $24.95 pa: unlimited storage, unlimited uploads and permanent archiving of original images. This sounds pretty good value considering Google charge $500 pa for 250 GB. Is there a catch? Am i missing something?

Theres also Rapidshare , free for files of up to 100Mb and seriously fast to use, so might also be worth checking out
(For files greater than 100Mb you can use Winrar to split the files into uploadable chunks)

I assume we're talking about photo storage!

Sorry - yes. I'm trying to figure the best online photo storage solution with generous space allocation (at least 100gb). There also needs to be some decent functionality in terms of creating albums etc. I'm willing to pay a reasonable annual charge if I need to - looking at http://smugmug.com/ it looks like I don't need to. The interface seems pretty nice (haven't looked at the functionality in detail). And free - hey, who can complain about that!

I find Fotki.com to be pretty good, but I'm not sure what their capacity limits are.

They say unlimited, but I wonder how they'll react if you upload that much!

Exactly what I'm wondering. I don't have that much at the moment but each holiday/occasion is adding a good few megs and I want a solution that is sustainable and scalable. (As an aside, I see Yahoo are getting rid of yahoo photos to concentrate their efforts on Flickr.)

Check out Imageshack or Photobucket

You can get a free account and also get a free firefox plugin to upload photos to imageshack ! I havent used photobucket but think its similar.

Imageshack extension for forefox is below:

This plugin/extension below allows you to upload to both photobucket and imageshack

I have a Flickr pro account and am very happy with it.

The only reason I use it is because I can easily link to other Flickr users...
