Flat Screen TV Unit

I am looking for help finding a TV unit for a flatscreen TV. We want something that has storage. We saw something suitable in Ikea but they didn’t have it in the wood or with some glass doors like we wanted especially for putting the Sky Box in so you can use the remote without having to keep the door open. The one in Ikea consisted of 2 parts the lower part with drawers/presses that the Telly goes on top of and an upper unit that you’d fix to the wall for more storage The area we are putting it in is about 6 ft wide so it can cover that

Anyway does anyone know of any furniture shops that would do something like this other than Ikea? I'm in south west dublin but anywhere around will do

You could have the item made specifically for you, by a cabinet maker or a company.

You can get IR remote repeater kits that you install in presses to get around the issue of operating IR controlled devices behind closed doors.

Joe's idea might be your best bet, it's something I've been on the lookout for myself for a while and have seen very little in any of the many furniture shops I've visited. There are a few online options, mainly UK based, but I'd like to see a unit like that before buying. Might just end up making my own.

Try googling the plasma centre. I got a wall mount from them a while back but they do everything. Good prices and swift delivery.
