Fixing Power/electric shower

New to site, and to home-owning. Can anyone tell me whether it is an electrician or a plumber I need to fix a shower which keeps tripping the switch? I think there must be an electrical fault, but I suppose it could be due to a water leak. Any recommendations in Dublin area? Thanks

Had the same problem and we called the plumber coz it was our shower tripping all the switches. Test it out before you call someone. Seeing as it was the shower causing the problem thats why we got a plumber as all the other switches and electricial stuff in the house was fine. Again im sure others will have a better clue than me as im just going on what we did.

Welcome to AAM.

There is a discussion in this previous AAM thread on trip switches which may give some help although it is specifically related to a dishwasher rather than shower. IMHO an electrician would be your best bet.

Is it a Triton? Check if it has it's own fuse. If not, it's overloading/tripping the fusebox. You need an electrican. Trust me.

PS I think you bought my old house!
