Fitted wardrobes - Cork/Munster area

Hi all,
Looking for advice on fitted wardrobes for an alcove in a bedroom. Don't want sliderobes just solid pine built-ins. Got a quote for 2000 today. Was gobsmacked! It's W2.2m X H2.5m. Is this about right or steep?I thought I'd do it for much less than that.

Go to Forest Fare in Medleton. Give them a stetch of exactly what you want with measurements. They will do a cutting list and if you are handy enough you will assemble them yourself. If not any handman/carpender will do it for a small fee.You'll prob save a nice few hundred, If not over a thousand.
