Fitted/Slide Wardrobes

Hi,
I'm just looking for any tips from anyone who fitted their own 'fitted' wardrobes,
i.e. whats sort of wood to use for the shevles etc, where can you buy the inserts etc for wardrobes,
Also if anyone knows any diy site that may help, please forward on...

Don't fancy paying the 2+ k quote we got...

Have you tried cash and carry Kitchens they are also doing fitted wardrobes too quality is as good as their kitchens and you have the option to fit yourself so should work out a lot cheaper.

Don't know where you got your quote from but I can recommend Robeplan as a chaeper and better alternative to Sliderobes if you want to avoid the DIY route.
