tried ringing fis today as our application went in early december and no letter to say it was received.new applications are on an 18 week waiting list, renewals are 16 weeks.a prerecorded message as usual,i was of the understanding that new applications were being dealt with as a matter of urgency in sligo and backlog was being dealt with in donegal, anyone throw light on this or is the government at the usual messing around of empty gestures
Typical response from government department when it comes to social welfare stuff.
Understaffing is the only excuse here an duin.
When they do pay you, its backdated.
really not good enough, from having lived in the north and personal experience of the system there,it would be sorted within a fortnight of sending in an application.
The more the situation costs the government, the less resources they put into it.
Customer satisfaction is a distant memory.
#IMO,Service at the Revenue is great, of course yougive them money !!
