First Active Offset Mortgage

Does anyone know has the First Active Offset mortgage gone off the market? I've just looked on the website and cannot find reference to it.

We're finishing up our fixed rate soon and I want to explore the possibilities.

I'm sure I read that in the Sunday Business Post last week that they were withdrawing it with immediate effect. Would be interested myself on the best possible option as I am also coming off fixed and their variable rate is shocking to say the least.

First Active suspended the sale of the Offset mortgage on 4th July 2008.

Check the Best Buys lists here on Askaboutmoney to establish if it would be worth your while moving your mortgage to a more competitive lender. You'll need to weigh the cost of switching against the potential savings in the context of your own mortgage.
