I cant make up my mind whether to take the fireplace allowance or the fireplace that is in the house. We are buying a new build house and the allowance is 1000 euro. The fireplace that is in it is ok but not what I would have chosen myself. We are living abroad at the moment so cant hop in the car and have a look at what I could get for my 1000e. I don't want to put any money to it so my question is, can I get a good fireplace (plan to use it as a 'real' fire) - the whole thing including fitting for this money?
