Fire Alarm

I have a small old office that is basic, consisting of a reception, open plan area with 3 glass offices off the open plan.
I have 2 fire escapes which meet the requirements.
My question is, do I need to install a fire alarm and what spec? I am being told L3 but I was hoping to just alarm the fire escape routes.

Who says your fire escapes comply?

Who says you need to install an L3 system?

If you're doing this without professional advice then discuss the requirements with your local fire officer.

Otherwise, take professional advice, because no-one on AAM is in a position to comment - the level of FDA depends on a lot of factors.

The thing to remember is - you can argue with a Fire Officer and you can bawl out your professional - but there's no arguing with a fire.
