Finishing between brick and plaster walls

Looking for some inspiration/creative ideas here!

Had some work done in the house & now have a brick wall & plaster wall to 'marry' together somehow. It will be a skimmed plaster finish, which is fine, & the brick is fine as it is, my problem is with the base of the wall where I have a gap between the skirting board on one side & a low concrete plinth on the other.

Any ideas folks?

I'd extend the skirting to meet the brickwork and plaster the strip. Not much else you could do really, unless you removed the render plinth and extended the skirting all the way around.
