Finglas East

Just wondered what people thought about Finglas East as a place to live. I am considering a move there. Glasaree road to be exact. There are some council homes and maisonettes mixed in the area, but that doesn't worry me if the area is good. The Maisonettes are a bit of an eye sore, but I think they are due for refurbishment by the council?

Any opinions would be welcome. Thanks.

I lived on Glasaree Road as a kid and it was bad then and has gotten worse.
My mother still lives 5 minutes from there and I took a stroll for old times sake recently and it has gotten very run down. The maisonettes in particular are used by the council to house problem families.
Finglas East in gerneral is great but just not around there. I'd advise looking in Finglas Park, Clancy or McKee which are much more mature areas nearby. Obviously more expensive but grand places to live.

Just to put on update on this, in case some people find this thread via google. Finglas East (glasanaon road) is really crap. Someone tried to steal my car the first week I moved there. What people say about finglas is true, never live there.
