Second try here as the system deleted my first post... Why did that happen?
We are expats living outside Ireland and earning a good salary at the moment but we know that within 3-4 years we will be back in Ireland for good.
I was looking for financial advice or if someone could advise a good and INDEPENDENT financial adviser we could meet we are home over the summer.
We have paid our mortgage. We are renting our house.
We have money invested in a bank investment scheme, which has lost about 10K in past 2 years - less than other schemes, I know but still. Should we just take it out?
We have a considerable sum in a savings account not earning much and can't open another account in IRL as we don't have any address or bills there.
We want to plan for the rainy days ahead and really don't know what to do. We are fairly risk-adverse and have little understanding of shares/ financial markets.
Anyone got any advice or if they can point me somewhere!
