Financial advice- where/ who from?

Hi, now and then I read online people suggesting that others should get independent financial advice with regard to money on deposit.

Can anybody point me in the direction of an advisor? what is the general opinion with respect to these type of advisers?

There are a few professional financial advisors who post here who might be worth considering. I won't mention names but you can judge for yourself from their contributions.

On the other hand there are lots of others out there in the real world too.
