guys, a friend of mine bought a 2004 car 2 years ago and is selling it at the moment. so he done a cartell check for the buyer which showed it was still part of a finance agreement!
however the previous and only other owner is known to us and still in regular contact.
he says that he had 2 loans at the time, one on the car and one on a bus and when my friend bought the car he paid the money off the bus instead of the car, his mistake he says as he put the wrong account number on the payment slip at the time.
anyhow, as the owner is traceable as such, is there anything that can be done?
the previous guy says he is in contact with the finance crowd to see if they can transfer the finance onto the bus but if that fails, what options are available to him?
i know he should of done a check as a cartell/hpi report has saved my skin twice while half way through a car deal, so i know how important they are.
