We are considering investing in property in Cape Verde, are there any Irish financial institutions that offer mortgages for there.

I doubt it.

Have you considered all the issues with Cape Verde? There are quite a number of posts already on Cape Verde. You should have a look at them yourself.

I'm all for investing in property abroad, but I think the likes of Dubai and Cape Verde are far too risky.

Thanks for your reply. I have looked at the posts but like everthing else it is just peoples opinions, investments by their nature all have some element of risk and unless you are overcommiting yourself you still have a property at the end of the day.

Everybody has their opinion on foreign destinations but that is not the question you were asking!

I'm not aware of any company in ireland that will provide a mortgage in Cape Verde.

There is a crowd in the uk called Conti Financial services that provide mortgages for a lot of countries so I assume they propbably do cape verde but I you'll be paying at least 5% interest.

Any progress in finding an Irish financial institution that will provide mortgages for Cape Verde?
