Do any Irish banks lend for German property investment? I hear German banks offer a measily 60% - 70% finance. Would Irish banks lend more? Also, if I have no deposit but have an Irish investment property (140k mortgage, worth 240k), which is rented out at 1000 per month (no voids as it is a 4 year rental contract), would an Irish bank lend 100% for the German property with a kind of cross-security on the Irish property - I know I could probably remortgage the Irish investment property but I think this would be the wrong way to go about it for tax reasons as I would not be able to offset the interest on these borrowings against rental income.
