Hi guys,
I have recently travelled around the world and spent a fortune (approx 30k inheritance). I am 28 and renting a room in a house.
There is one last thing I want to do before I settle down and this will cost me a further 30k
I have 160k remaining which i had planned on putting towards a house in a few years time which will cost approx 300k.
Although I am almost qualified myself as a Financial Advisor I have to admit I am utterly useless at working things out regarding my own money never mind other peoples ....I'm an honest guy
Can anyone give me advice as to whether or not I am making a huge mistake doing this ie will having 130k as opposed to 160k ruin my future finances?
Sorry if this sounds a little patronising as I know this is a huge amount of money most people dont have but in truth I have lost grandparents & both parents in a small timeframe and teh fact is that I DO have this money and need to decide wisely.
I 'd love some responses.
