One would have thought that one of the main priorities of the government would be to instill confidence in the banking sector:



Pinching pennies on this when we're spending 10s of billions bailing out the banks (and paying for staff for non-existent hospitals) is criminally negligent.
 
He says there's no penny pinching going on.

Either they can't find the right people, or they haven't tried. He could also be lying.

Mr Elderfield insisted that the Government had not refused to give him more resources.
