Filed taxes online ontime but I didn't see a CGT filing field

I filed last week online for the 1st time via "Review your tax" button. Seemed a relatively simple process of just walking through all the boxes in each category & filling in the details. I pressed submit & my statement of liability is being calculated so I don't know how much to pay just yet.

After I had submitted I noted that I didn't complete my CGT filing, I'm attributing this to the fact that none of the boxes promted me to enter CGT details but anyway I saw the tab on my excel workings sheet & I relaised my mistake. I have attempted to "amend" my stement of liability but it is still locked outpending calculation presumably so I can't make the amendment just yet.

"You cannot proceed as an Income Tax Return is currently being processed. Please wait until your Statement of Liability has issued."

So my question is whether the online "Review your tax" button caters to entering CGT data? I didn't see / remember seeing any references to CGT & I think I went through every single option on the pages. Thanks for the advice in advance.

It sounds like you are a Form 12 filer - if so there is no facility to file for CGT in the online Form 12 (yet). You would need to complete a Form 11, or separately complete a CG1 for capital gains tax.
