Feel free to delete post thanks for answers guys and girls

I thought that you had settled this already?
Theoretically I am wondering would it be still possible to get mortgage protection insurance and home insurance if I got a debt judgment against me and settled it
Did any demands for payment include VAT?

No VAT is charged on loans

Some services by financial intermediaries may be chargeable to VAT but not the loan itself

So all of your posts about the implications of a judgment against you for a loan which you defaulted on are theoretical and you have never been subject to such a judgment?

Why don't you just avoid the possibility of having a judgment lodged against you by paying off the loan - maybe with the large gift that you've received? Or is that theoretical too?

Provident Ireland wrote off all loans when they left Ireland. Was the loan already in collections before they shut up shop?

OP's question is basically the same as asking if I'll have to pay VAT if I buy a Mars bar. I think other regular posters should have a quick look at this poster's posting history across several threads now, before replying (or not).
