MrBell's passport is out of date and we are in the process of renewing it.
As per British embassy website Renewal fee is £72 stg or €145!!! Again as per their website the exchange rate is €1.17 = £1. Why is the Euro price so high? I've emailed them but no reply as yet. If we make the journey across the border we can renew it by Post at a Post Office or pay few extra £s for Express Post. Is the high euro fee a deterent to encourage renewal by post? Or are we paying for the privilidge of have a British Embassy in Ireland?
