Faulty PC - What are my rights

I bought a new PC on Sunday from a big store. There is an issue with the wireless adaptor on the PC and I have contacted the store regarding it. They tell me this is a "known issue" and have said to me to return the PC for an exchange.

The problem is they have no replacement PC and can offer me a similar machine but it has no wireless adaptor.

Should I demand that they give me a machine with a wireless adaptor or just get my money back and go elsewhere

What are my rights with faulty goods.

They could offer you the similar machine and give you an external wireless adaptor -- but you would not have to accept that solution if you don't like it. Personally, I would accept that for a desktop system because it would not be inconvenient, but not for a portable.

They said they would give me a full refund if I wanted but I dont really want that. The hassle of having to go to another store and town, so Id rather some sort of similar replacement. Surely it would be more benefitial to them also to give me a similiar replacement instead of just handing me my cash back!

is this a PC or a laptop? I presume its a PC. There are several options available for adding wireless to a PC. you can use a USB wireless device about the size of a standard usb pen drive or a PCI card that slots in like a Sound/Video card. Both of which would cost 30-40€ I think in shops.

I would ask them to supply one free or at a discounted price with the replacement PC or just go somewhere else. Or take the replacement PC and get one online for €10.
