I have a faulty nintendo DS, the screen is very faded at the top I brought it back to the shop it was purchsed in and it is under warranty but they are saying they don't warranty the screen, they gave me a number for nintendo to call them but is this correct?

I would have imagined I would be entitled to get a repair or a replacement?

Hi
No, they are incorrect.
Your contract is with the seller, and they are required to offer repair/replacement.

Went back to the shop again this morning and after a bit of a chat with the manager the DS has been replaced.

Well done, johndoe64.

It is really annoying when retailers try to wrangle out of their responsibilities with excuses like the rubbish you were told about not 'warrantying the screen'.

hi

also keep an eye on the hinges, it is reported on the net and elsewhere that these are prone to cracking since as early as 2006
