One for any Auto-electricians here. Left rear indicator orange bulb not flashing. Instead, red brake light bulb flashing rapidly when indicating. Changed the orange bulb presuming it had blown but still not illuminating. Bad connection somewhere?
Renault Fluence.

It’s 99.99% a bad earth.

The most common issue there is purely a bad earthing on the lamp wiring loom.

Renault and older Fords are well known for this.

First thing, check the lamp unit for secure connection.
Second, check for corrosion at the connection point. Corrosion has a greenish colour on the contact pins.
Third, disconnect the earth wire, White/Black bolted to the body at the lamp area, clean wire connector and mounting point to insure good contact, that should eliminate the basic checks and hopefully solve the issue.

As an aside , where is the location of the cabin air filter on these cars? 2010 model.

Fixed in a couple of minutes. Brought to an auto-electrician. Not quite sure what he did but it involved a small bit of soldering to connect, I think, the wire to the bulb holder.
