Hello,

Suddenly, a few days ago, the horn on my 06 corolla stopped working. I checked the fuse unit and the fuse for the horn is ok. Also there is what I think is called a relay switch for the horn in the fuse compartment which clicks when i push the button on the steering wheel, so I assume that this is ok as well. Is there any other simple thing I should look for before I take the car to an auto-electrician?

Thanks.

Check the connections on the horn-unit which should be located near the front of the car around the radiator area. If the connections themselves are OK, connect a bulb to them and if it lights when the horn is pressed, then the horn-unit itself is busted.

Do not attempt to fiddle with the connections at the other end of the circuit, in the steering-wheel, as it contains the explosive air-bag unit.
