I want to remove old fascia boards and replace with new timber fascia boards. However the lower line of tiles will probably rest on the lip of the existing fascia. How do I replace this? Will I have to lift the lower line of tiles ? Or can I insert a lath to support the tiles and then remove the fascia? It is a job I can undertake on my own? How will I cut the fascia to remove? Into 3 feet lengths? Is it very difficult to lift existing tiles?

Had noticed alright that no one had replied probably because it is quite a massive job you are talking about undertaking.

As far as I can recall when we had our soffit/fascia replaced it took 3 guys, who worked full time at the job, a full day to get it completed.

Do you intend removing the decayed wood?

IMHO its too big a job for one person and quite dangeous also.
