'Greg Craig, the former director of corporate affairs, has been appointed to a new directorship and retained his salary of up to €112,000 a year...Craig was made director of health and safety last june. The post has a grade four salary scale whcih means he is being paid between €90,702 and €112,191, the same salary he had before the overspending controversy emerged...Craig was criticised in an internal audit which detailed at least €1.3m of financial irregularities between 2000 and 2004, the controllers report which did not accuse Craig of being personally responsible. said his department spent €622,000 on goods and services that were never provided'

2 things spring to mind; firstly how on earth can those in charge at Fas justify giving a role of any authority to someone who at best has been exposed of gross ineptitude in his previous role, secondly has this guy any qualifications in Health and Safety to justify being given this new role

not trying to start a witch hunt here but surely to God Fas have some responsibility to the Dept of Enterprise and ultimetly us the taxpayer as to how the tax payers money it receives is spent. It just beggars belief how Fas has been managed over these last number of years.

This was part of the golden handshake negotiations I posted about on the last fas topic. Wouldn't surpise me of more jobs/posts/directorships are offered to the boys for resigning.
