Family holiday in August, somewhere hot!

Hi

Looking for advice on holiday destination for 1 adult, 15 year old boy and 11 year old girl. We want somewhere hot, beaches nearby but also town/city with interesting things to do and see. Don't want to spend a week on beach. Would be bored out of our minds.

Not a massive budget ( story of my life ;-) ).

Any advice greatly appreciated.

We went tuisinia years ago...july...hottest wev ever been...husband dripping sweat when we used public bus the first n only time..taxis werent that much dearer...we were in skanes, down the coast..port el kantaoul touristy when did daytrip.,..cheapest hol also we been on.
